The Daily WAR (#0610)

Standing/surfing on the virtual wall of Israel ...
not being blinded by being among the trees ...
but seeing the whole forest as it is ...
watching the horizon and using over-the-horizon radar ...
for signs of the coming storm ...

THE HOLY ROMAN ...

"In the series of apostles called by Jesus during his earthly life, today our attention is caught by the Apostle Bartholomew."

The Bishops’ Conference of Germany, gathered for the plenary assembly, has called the interpretation by many Muslims of the lecture Pope Benedict XVI gave at the University of Ratisbona “unjust.” The bishops issued a statement strongly rejecting the attitude of some who were stoking the controversy by making “accusations, demands, and even threats.”

Despite continuing threats from Islamic extremist groups and warnings from Muslim clerics and politicians in Turkey, preparations for Pope Benedict XVI’s first Papal trip to Turkey are continuing, Vatican officials said.

A Vatican official presented the Compendium of the Social Doctrine of the Church at UNESCO as a "manifesto of a new integral and solidaristic humanism" that aids efforts for peace.
[WAR: As I've been saying for years, the social doctrines are the controlling reigns of the Whore and how she'll guide the Beast - which is basically already being done in Bavaria. These doctrines are the wine she offers nations to drink (as this Vatican official has just done!) - it looks, smells and tastes good, but it is bitter and deadly in the end!]

... EMPIRE OF THE GERMAN NATION

The Munich Oktoberfest, the world's biggest folk festival, has ended with organizers reporting higher consumption of beer and oxen, and a 25% jump in the number of dangerous assaults, often in the form of hurled beer glasses.

After seven hours of talks, German leaders emerged in the early hours of Thursday morning with a health-reform deal. While the compromise is far from perfect, it has saved the fragile coalition government -- at least for now. CSU leader and Bavarian premier Edmund Stoiber did not seem to be singing from the same hymn sheet as the other two leaders, saying that the agreement was subject to examination in the context of the draft legislation.

Chancellor Angela Merkel will visit Turkey for the first time as head of government. While she may have mellowed publicly on Turkey's EU bid, the Christian Democrat will likely press for more reforms. Germany has been Turkey's #1 trading partner for more than two decades.

Chancellor Angela Merkel begins a two-day visit to Turkey on Thursday with her coalition partners increasingly divided over Ankara's eventual membership in the European Union.

The German public has long been apprehensive about sending soldiers to foreign lands, but this nation's aspiration to become an influential global voice has troops on the march in peacekeeping missions from Kosovo to Afghanistan.

Checking in on the lead-up to Daniel 11:40 ...
The government Wednesday approved a 6-month extension of Germany's military participation in the UN Mission in Sudan. Germany has 36 unarmed military observers in the East African nation.
[WAR: It's not much now, but very soon the situation in Sudan will escalate and Sudan will make its "push" against Germany.]

EUROPE/RUSSIA

In an interview with DW-WORLD.DE, US-based expert Soner Cagaptay stressed that Turkey is part of Europe. "Admitting Turkey will be a test of how secular the European Union, and France in particular, truly is."

The European Union and NATO have much in common, sharing members and pursuing similar goals. But instead of cooperating on defense, analysts say, the two organizations are engaged in a bitter competition that is damaging the credibility and effectiveness of both.

Hungary’s prime minister, Ferenc Gyurcsany, has called a vote of confidence for October 6 in an attempt to face down demands for his removal from office by right-wing opposition parties.

There can be no doubt Russia and Georgia are deeply involved in playing a political chess. The only difference is this time the wooden chess pieces are replaced with human lives, economic stability, and security.

Russia's political establishment have all warned of the risk of war involving Moscow and its former imperial vassal Georgia. They believe that the Georgian President is trying to provoke a conflict in order to rid his country of Russian influence once and for all.

POUNDING PERSIA

It's one of the world's oldest religions, but Zoroastrianism is treated with suspicion by Iran's Islamic state.

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Seyed Mohammad Ali Hoseini, pointing to the visit to the region by the US Secretary of State, stressed that regional conditions have differed from the past and no one can determine world affairs through the diplomacy of dictation any more.

The US is giving European negotiators until the end of the week to convince Iran to suspend its uranium-enrichment program and will then pursue sanctions if Tehran fails to comply.

Iran warned on Wednesday that the current Middle East tour of US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will end in failure unless Washington ends its support of Israel.

The Democrats are silent as the Bush regime prepares for war against Iran - silent in the face of a potential nuclear mass murder - even a global war. Silent in the face of an attack that could cause an utter meltdown of the global economy, a 1930s style Depression that would send millions, perhaps billions of people into starvation-level poverty, as the prices of oil and gasoline triple.

HOUSE OF ISRAEL

There’s nothing more disturbing than knowing that an alcohol-addled megalomaniac has his sweaty fingers on the Big Red Switch and that with one little tug he could ignite the world like a Roman candle. It’s not a comforting thought, but it’s the truth.

Although this is a scary scenario, it seems all too possible.

A revolt is brewing among our retired Army and Marine generals. These men recently sacrificed their careers by retiring and joining the public protest.

ECONOMY

So far, stock market investors have remained bullish. So have precious metals investors. This fact should give us pause. Why is the same perception of the economy driving up the stock market and the precious metals market?

MISC

The “tunnel of light” by which the dying persons reportedly travel to the afterlife, the cherubs and other heavenly creatures who welcome them on the other side are mere hallucinations.[!!]

The term “metrosexual” is a combination of metropolis (Gk – a chief city) and sexual. Not unlike any other noticeable phenomenon, metrosexuality is often accompanied by myths and speculations.

Concerns are being raised today due to the reporting by Russian Scientist-Mathematician Nikolay Fedorovskiy that the ‘Great Comet’ is fast approaching our Earth and will strike our Planet near the end of this month in our Southern Polar Region. Dr. Fedorovskiy states that Russian and Western astronomers have failed to properly account for the sudden change in the orbital direction of the Great Comet that occurred this past August, 2006.

"It's a time-honored tradition in the newspaper business that free newspapers ask for voluntary subscriptions. As a rule, satisfied readers who depend on a news publication for their news don't mind paying a little bit for it. That's why voluntary subscription donations -- via the "honor system" -- have been the lifeblood of many "free" newspapers over the years." (WorldNetDaily)
