The Daily WAR (#0616)

Standing/surfing on the virtual wall of Israel ...
not being blinded by being among the trees ...
but seeing the whole forest as it is ...
watching the horizon and using over-the-horizon radar ...
for signs of the coming storm ...

THE HOLY ROMAN ...

Pope Benedict XVI is reportedly about to finish a new book on Jesus. The publishing house will reportedly announce when the book is coming out at the beginning of next year.
[WAR: How appropriate - The Antichrist writing a book on the false Messiah ("another Christ"). The "Jesus Christ" of Christianity is NOT the "Yahshua Messiah" of the Bible. I can't wait until this book comes out (next Passover?) and read it. This will be the final-exam text book for those in the COG - to show once-and-for-all that to agree with the Whore on Yahshua's nature is to have the spirit of Antichrist.]

Ambassador Flynn, a longtime friend of Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, said the current Pope is a peaceful, gentle man, who is committed to inter-religious dialogue.

There will always be debate and differences of opinion regarding the quality of biblical translations. No translation is perfect, and even our Protestant brethren have their literary squabbles regarding so-called inclusive language and whether it is proper to maintain certain archaic forms.

... EMPIRE OF THE GERMAN NATION

As Vladimir Putin visits Germany this week, his personal chemistry with Chancellor Angela Merkel is less than perfect - despite protestations from diplomats and government spokesmen. But the Russians would actually like to have Putin pal Gerhard Schröder back.

The Russian president will have talks with Bavaria’s Prime Minister Edmund Stoiber there and meet with representatives of the German business and scientific circles. It is not accidental that Bavaria’s part of Putin’s visit will focus on economy. Bavaria is leading among German lands for its presence on the Russian market.

EUROPE/RUSSIA

Germany will be "very ambitious" in trying to push forward the revival of a European Union constitution during its EU presidency next year, Chancellor Merkel said yesterday.
[WAR: This "ambitious" effort will end in failure. Then Germany will say (in so many words): "To hell with this French-inspired European project that was created to keep our country tied-down - even forced us to give up our powerful d-mark and reduce our Buba to just a 'regional' bank! We've tried to 'make it work' - even tried to get God and/or Christianity mentioned in the 'constitution' - but now we're just going to go our own way as a fully-sovereign country. And other countries can either follow or get out of the way."]

Europe appears to be crossing an invisible line regarding its Muslim minorities: more people in the political mainstream are arguing that Islam cannot be reconciled with European values.

With unsettling nuclear developments in North Korea, wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and political upheaval in the Middle East, little attention is being paid to the Balkans. But Kosovo is on the brink of bursting onto the world stage once again.

Is there a common thread here? Or is this mere coincidence?

MIDEAST/AFRICA/ASIA

After a unanimous condemnation of North Korea’s apparent nuclear test, signs of disagreement appeared among its neighbors today.

North Korea has threatened to fire a nuclear-tipped missile unless the U.S. takes action to resolve its standoff with Pyongyang.

POUNDING PERSIA

This World investigates the debate going on in Israel about how to deal with Iran's nuclear project, which divides the diplomatic world.

Paranoid Protestant Prophecy Propagandist...
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Iran's president, has given the order: Raise the American death count in Iraq to 3,000 before the Nov. 7 general election. This news came from a high-level Israeli leader.

HOUSE OF ISRAEL

George Washington would be saddened by the recent, disturbing news stories, but he probably would not be surprised. In his prophetic Farewell Address to our nation, he warned us that "reason and experience" both dictated that our "National morality" could not survive if cut off from "religious principle."

Indeed, at times her summer camp looks less like a religious school than the training ground for a children’s militia.

ECONOMY

Last month a major US hedge fund, Amaranth Advisors, lost more than half its assets in a week, speculating on natural gas prices. The company proved correct the chief worry of such major financial institutions as the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund: that financial reality is now out of control.
