Gerhard Schröder has strongly criticized the growing influence of religious conservatives in the US.
Gerhard Schröder says the US leader's constant references to God troubled him.
[WAR: But what's really going to be troubling is when religion becomes a growing influence in Germany (again), and Edmund Stoiber becomes "Holy" Roman Emperor and out-Gods ol' Bush ...]
... but not according to Schröder, because ...
[WAR: Now think about this! If ol' Stoiber really has a "hidden agenda" and wants to rule over Europe (as the PCG never ceases to proclaim), this would've been the perfect opportunity - it was handed to him on a silver-plate!! To me, this just indicates that the EU is not the thing to watch! Stoiber knows where the real power is: the nation-state. And why didn't he go to Berlin when invited? Again, he knows where the real power is: the states, especially Bavaria. So fuhgettabout the "Union" in Brussels (EU), and keep your eyes on the "Union" in Munich (Christian Social Union).
And speaking of Munich and the "Bavarian Lion" ... "Where now is the lions' den, the place where they fed their young, where the lion and lioness went, and the cubs, with nothing to fear?" (Nah 2:11). I say it's in Munich: the "city of (Benedictine) monks" founded by Henry "the Lion", and whose official city's colours are black and gold - the same as the Holy Roman Empire.
Now this just occured to me: Very soon now, we'll be having the "Bavarian lion" and the "Bavarian lamb" (B16) getting together and lying-down - but it won't be the millennial-setting that Isaiah refers to; it'll be the tribulation-setting that Revelation refers to.]
While President Vladimir Putin has been marginalizing Russia's parliament, opposition, media and human rights groups, the European Court of Human Rights - sitting 1,250 miles away in Strasbourg - has emerged as a powerful check on the excesses of the Russian bureaucracy and failures by the country's own investigative organs and courts to follow Russia's laws.
Serbia's prime minister expressed confidence that Russia and China would block any attempts to grant independence to the UN-run province of Kosovo. "Russia's stand is very clear, and China's is not far away. Many realize that independence (of Kosovo) would be a bullying solution."
A German intelligence agent has spent the last several weeks on a U.N. mission trying to negotiate an exchange of prisoners between Israel and Hezbollah. U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan handed a German intelligence analyst from the Bundesnachrichtendienst (BND) the assignment.
A far-right politician dubbed "the most dangerous politician in the history of Israel" because of his anti-Arab and authoritarian views last night looked set to join the Israeli government. Prime minister Ehud Olmert's cabinet voted 12 to 11, with one abstention, to approve Avigdor Lieberman's controversial plan to strip powers from parliament and concentrate them in the hands of the prime minister - a decision which was seen as paving the way for his entry into the ruling coalition. Critics claim the leader of the Yisrael Beiteinu party is trying to put in place features of a dictatorship in advance of his eventually becoming prime minister.
[WAR: Hey, since the US and Israel is joined at the hip, might as well have their leaders have the same power.]
The Israeli army used phosphorous artillery shells against Hezbollah guerrilla targets during their war in Lebanon this summer, an Israeli Cabinet minister said, confirming Lebanese allegations for the first time.
More than £130m worth of British banknotes forged by the Nazis was used by the Jewish underground to help establish the State of Israel. Wads of notes, which the Germans had forged by concentration camp inmates, ended up being used after the Second World War to pay for the transport of Jews to then British-occupied Palestine, and to buy weapons for the embryonic Israeli armed forces.
Sudan is to expel the United Nations's top official in the country after he reported two military defeats for the government and other embarrassing details in the largely invisible war in the western region of Darfur.
An Iranian official warned that Tehran would not remain passive if the West imposes sanctions against it over its disputed nuclear program, but did not say how the country would respond. "Sanctions will have an impact on both sides and will have regional and international repercussions. If they choose sanctions we will decide accordingly."
You can't simply observe two facts that the Iranian government wants more nuclear production and that Iran is a net exporter of oil to the world and conclude that, of course, Iran's goal is to have nuclear weapons. The concept of opportunity cost explains why.
As the catastrophe in Iraq spirals deeper into despair, there are signs of seismic changes in the way America sees this war.
You would have thought that 300 million Americans would be enough to rule the world, or at least a couple of medium-sized failed states.
The dollar's decline against the euro shows no sign of ending. Clearly, currency traders have made a long-term judgment about the relative value of the currencies of the Old and New Worlds. That sounds bad enough. But now there are signs that we're losing some of the most devoted fans of the greenback: drug dealers, Russian oligarchs, and black-market traffickers of all kinds.
The greatest threat to the ideal free-market economy and consumerism is not the government or regulations but the established religions with their absolute values.
Houses like ATMs... No axis of evil, just tiny little North Korea... and George talks like he's in a John Wayne Movie... M3 notes... Banks told to keep lending to stop the collapse...
Pentecostalism and other similar charismatic movements are among the fastest-growing sectors of global Christianity. According to a study, around a quarter of the world's estimated 2 billion Christians are thought to be members of Pentecostal and charismatic groups.
Persons who suffered craniocerebral injuries often develop extraordinary abilities. There are numerous documented pieces of evidence gathered by researchers of anomalous phenomena and historians.
Russian researchers from the University of Siberia are planning on proving the theory of Bruce Masse, an environmental archaeologist with Los Alamos National Laboratory, who claims that the Great Flood of 2800 BCE came as a result of Earths collision with some heavenly body.
[WAR: Interesting, indeed! Just a couple of weeks ago, I came across this "cloudless earth" pic and couldn't help but notice the obvious impact of something hitting the earth - right there on the western end of China, north of India! Just look at this big, gaping wound in Asia from something BIG that came from the east. Notice the brown patch to the east of the impact area, and how the impact forced the land up around it to the north, west, and south - pushing-up the Himalayas. Also notice the all the "drain marks" in the desert-floor on the western-end flowing into all the "stans" and Iran - the Caspian Sea basin, where all that oil is! But the question is: Did this event happen during Noah's time (piercing the "water canopy" and causing it to collapse), or when the pre-Adamic world was destroyed?]
