There was no neutral response to the announcement that the "enforcer"—Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger—had been elected Benedict XVI, the next pope of the Roman Catholic Church. Conservatives saw it as the final triumph of their agenda. Liberals were aghast. By tackling the modern world head-on Benedict XVI is gambling that he can make traditional, orthodox Catholicism the savior of contemporary society.
Here is a Vatican translation of the address Benedict XVI gave to the participants in Italy's national ecclesial convention.

[WAR: It's pretty clear here - Germany is "the north", not "Europe" or the "European Union"! And poor ol' Munich - no more Oktoberfests after it becomes "utterly desolate." Just wish I could visit there before this happens - soak-up all that history, drink some Bavarian beer, nibble on some Bavarian pretzels. But then I might get delusional, start thinking I'm Jonah and start prophesying against Nineveh! ;-)]
Modern Germany's message is twofold: it intends to play a bigger military role around the world, but it will not revert to militarism. [WAR: Well, there ya have it - the former-fulfillment of Daniel 11:40! And just as I've been saying over the years, the same thing is going to happen in the latter-fulfillment when Sudan pulls-off a terrorist attack against Germany - whether it's against German troops deployed in Sudan (or nearby), or an attack in Germany itself.
And look at a map - Sudan is basically due-south of Jerusalem. Now compare this to Iran, which is due-east - with Tehran being north-east!

(Mat 12:42) And where was the Ethiopian throne located when he said this? Why in Nubia - in modern-day Sudan!]

I am urging Christians across this nation to study the candidates and the issues and then go to the polls to vote for those men and women that best reflect our values. Pastors, this Sunday, encourage all of your parishioners to be at the polls on Nov. 7 to accomplish their Christian responsibility. Let's prove that the "religious right" continues to be a very significant voting bloc.

It's a work of epic writing and essential reading documenting the enormous influence of the Jewish Lobby on US policy in the Middle East. The Lobby's influence is broad and deep enough to include officials at the highest levels of government, the business community, academia, the clergy (especially the dominant Christian fundamentalists/Christian Zionists) and the mass media. "Achzib" means deceit(ful), deceptive, deception; and comes from "Akzab" which means falsehood, liar, lie. The town was also called Kezib/Chezib, where Judah's half-Canaanite son Shelah was born (Gen 38:5).
And don't the Jews reckon lineage by the mother? So ... if the mother is Canaanite, then the son would be a Canaanite, right?!
So is it not possible to say that the descendants of Shelah could "say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan" and "claim to be Jews, though they are not, but are liars"? And is not also possible that they could actually be the ones that have proved to be "deceptive to the kings of Israel", especially Bush?
Remember, God told Israel that the Canaanites were going to be thorns in their sides and a snare to them - then, and today. And indeed, they have been - physically as well as spiritually. But at least we can look forward to a time when "there will no longer be a Canaanite in the house of the Lord Almighty." (Zech 14:21)]
