"The WAR on error"
"With these words, Paul expresses the fundamental content of his conversion, the new direction his life took as a result of his encounter with the Risen Christ. Before his conversion, Paul was not a man estranged from God or his law. On the contrary, he was observant, with an observance that bordered on fanaticism."

On Nov. 9, 1989, East Germany announced the easing of border controls. Thousands stormed the Berlin Wall and demanded its opening. At 11:30 p.m. the first section of it fell, ushering in the demise of the Iron Curtain.
Far-right views are not just the domain of skinheads and neo-Nazis but are firmly anchored throughout German society, regardless of social class or age, according to a study of attitudes towards foreigners, Jewish people and the Nazi period.
A German government-appointed council of economic experts criticized Chancellor Merkel's coalition of conservatives and Social Democrats, accusing it of pursuing a "slow-moving zigzag course without a recognizable strategy" for the largest European economy.
Edmund Stoiber has called on the European Union to redouble its efforts with respect to large-scale technology projects. Germany should make new technologies research and development a focus of its presidency of the European Union, Stoiber said during the cornerstone ceremony for the control center for the European satellite-based navigation system Galileo at the German Aerospace Center in Oberpfaffenhofen near Munich. The control center was a new global showcase for Bavaria. The high-tech federal state Bavaria was now also in the vanguard when it came to satellite technology in Europe, he added.
Nearly 70 years after Adolf Hitler declared Munich's main synagogue an "eyesore" at the center of his power base and personally ordered it torn down, Jews will celebrate its return to the heart of the Bavarian capital.

The Democratic victory in the U.S. midterm elections may pressure Europe into shouldering more of the burden in Afghanistan and Iraq, experts say.
The European Commission on Wednesday issued its strongest warning yet to Turkey to open its ports to Cyprus and make more progress on human rights or face a possible suspension of its membership talks.

What happened in 1998 and 1999 was not a result of Albanian lobbying. It came about as a result of joint policy by imperialists in America and Europe who saw Serbia as an obstacle to their control of "Southeastern Europe." Albanians were used as a weapon against Serbia. This is why Kosovo did not become independent in 1999, and has not yet become independent. The battle for Kosovo is not over yet.
Terror groups in the Gaza Strip, including militants from Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah party, warned today they may attack U.S. interests in the Middle East. Hamas' so-called "military wing" released a statement, the first of its kind, calling on Arabs and Muslims to attack American targets in the Middle East in response to an Israeli artillery strike today that killed at least 19 Palestinians.

Has the rumor of Osama bin Laden's death been greatly exaggerated, or is there more to it than initially thought? If one is to read into behavioral changes among Saudi Arabian jihadi fighters returning from Pakistan and Afghanistan, bin Laden could indeed be dead.
Chad's government has claimed that ethnic violence in Sudan's Darfur region is spilling across the border, sparking an upsurge of deadly Arab-African fighting among Chadians.
Russia has told European envoys it is committed to ensuring Iran does not make nuclear bombs, even though Moscow gutted a draft U.N. resolution on sanctions against Tehran, diplomats said yesterday.
A meeting of six nations working on a resolution to curb Iran's nuclear ambitions has broken up with the ambassadors reporting widening disagreements and lessening prospects of a swift accord. "The mood is not right for serious discussions. Clearly, I think in a number of difficult areas that the differences cannot be bridged. So I believe there ought to be more reflections in the capitals, and also I believe that we need to talk to each other."
The Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council said here last night that a draft resolution approved by UN Security Council members declaring Iran in defiance of their demand to halt uranium enrichment and seeking to impose sanctions is a "psychological move."
IRI Ministry of Foreign Affairs branded the US stands on Tehran as signs of "neo-Conservatives' opportunist arrogant tendencies", whose effects on US public opinion have already been clear.

The wave - and make no mistake, it's a global one - has just crashed on our shores, soaking our imperial masters. It's a sight for sore eyes.

The Republicans' defeat in the House of Representatives is a disaster for George W. Bush. His political heirs now must distance themselves from him as he spends the next two years trying to define his legacy.
European reaction...
Following the midterm slap in the face to the Bush Adminstration there has been little sympathy in Europe for the beleaguered White House. The day after the Republicans lost control of the House of Representatives, in much of Europe there is quiet satisfaction - and relief.

The electoral rebuke for President Bush and the resignation of his defense secretary, both deeply unpopular away from American shores over the Iraq war, was celebrated throughout Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
The change of power in the US will lead to serious consequences both to President Bush and Russia, taking into consideration Dems tough position towards Russia.

When the news broke last week that former President Jimmy Carter is set to release a book highly critical of Israel, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi quickly issued a statement denouncing the views of her fellow Democrat. Officials at Jewish organizations in Washington said this week that the minority leaders attack on Carter is in line with what they describe as a straight-A record on Israel.
[WAR: Why is Carter so critical of Israel? Did he finally realize - with 20/20 hindsight - that "the town of Aczib/Kezib will prove deceptive to the kings of Israel."?

President Bush was left weakened and more isolated than at any time in his presidency by Tuesday's Democratic "thumpin'" of Republicans. He offered Democrats gestures of reconciliation - and capitulated to demands for Donald H. Rumsfeld's removal - but history suggests his last two years will be filled with more confrontation and challenges.
President George W. Bush's Iraq policy is now in the political equivalent of receivershipa bankrupt project that is about to be placed in the hands of the worldly-wise pragmatists who surrounded the president's own father. Now they are in charge, having been handed one of the biggest military, diplomatic and public-relations messes in recent American history. Gates and Bakerand other pragmatists such as Brent Scowcrofthave been called in over the objections of Vice President Cheney.

[WAR: I think we've entered a very dangerous time now. Bush is vulnerable, yet stubborn. And those with an unyielding agenda to attack Iran (Cheney), will now allow (or cause) another "terrorist" attack - to be blamed on Iran/Syria/Hezbollah, so that the bombing can commence. The only question is: Will this attack be in the US, or abroad? And if an attack doesn't happen, then "Israel" will get the ball rolling with an unprovoked attack on Syria and/or Iran.]
The conventional wisdom in Washington now is that former United States Secretary of State James Baker has taken it upon himself to save U.S. Iraq policy, and by extension, the political fortunes of President George W. Bush. Baker, a longtime personal friend and political ally of the Bush dynasty, has been appointed by Congress as co-chair of the Iraq Study Group, a high-level panel of prominent former officials charged by Congress with taking a fresh look at America's policy on Iraq.
Nancy Pelosi and other Dems may compromise on immigration, but not energy, drugs, and defense.
Political pundit Bill Maher last night accused the head of the Republican National Committee of being a closet "gay." Appearing on CNN's Larry King Live, Maher said it's an open secret in Washington that RNC Chairman Ken Mehlman is a homosexual and that he has "never denied" it. Maher added that he plans to out at least three other closeted Republican officials including "chiefs of staff" on his HBO political show Friday night to show their hypocrisy in supporting traditional family values.

What is the answer to the burgeoning threat of Islamic jihad? The simple and terrifying bottom-line answer is that there is no answer unless America finally awakens and gives up its insane rebellion against its own founding faith and values.
[WAR: "These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is made up only of rules taught by men." For now, let us rest our hopes for national renewal in the families and churches and businesses and communities of the land. Let us teach and serve and pray outside of government. Let us rebuild those constitutional checks on government that are primary to our existence as a people, that both precede and create the Constitution of our government.
Russian Scientist Dr. Vladimir Shaidurov has submitted to the Russian Academy of Science a most interesting report today that states, in part, that not only has our Earths climate been changing due to the ever increasing number of Cosmic Blasts hitting our Planet, but more ominously that the largest Shockwave of all in fast approaching us. Even more intriguing about Dr. Shaidurovs findings is that this Massive Shockwave, soon to hit us, is a remnant of the historical Star of Bethlehem that Christians believe heralded the Birth of Jesus, and which ancient accounts suggest as being a Supernova located in the Aquila Constellation of the Milky Way Galaxy.
[WAR: Don't know the validity of this yet, but this would be remarkable if true! And it brings to mind what I've mentioned before: that the heavenly event(s) that produces the "crown of 12 stars on her (Virgo's) head" has already happened - it's just that the light has not reached us yet, but will become visible a few months before Yahshua's return.]
