"The WAR on error"
The world urgently needs new apostles anchored in Christ and in his Word, Benedict XVI says in a message heard by more than 10,000 Philippine youths.
In a speech discussing immigrants and refugees, a top Vatican official took aim at Washington's plan to build a fence on the US- Mexican border, saying it was "inhumane."
[WAR: Yes, we must not stop all those Catholics from coming across the border!]
Thought crime...
Chemist Germar Rudolf is one of the most often cited Holocaust deniers of the past decade, and now he'll have to answer for his contention that there were no Auschwitz gas chambers.
Chancellor Angela Merkel's "grand coalition" of conservatives and Social Democrats is fuelling the rise of far-right parties by breaking its promises to voters, the leader of Germany's top opposition party said.

Calls are growing louder for Germany to commit troops to the dangerous south of Afghanistan. But as international pressure grows, so too does German opposition to an extension of its mandate.
President Köhler has called on European nations to take more action to help stabilize Iraq. But what sort of options can Europe offer to constructively support the country's future?
Satisfaction and relief were the prevailing reactions in Europe to the defeat suffered by the Republicans in the midterm elections. The relief was felt not only by broad layers of society who despise president George W. Bush because of the Iraq war, but also by a considerable section of the ruling elite who now hope for a change in US foreign policy. Now, through their efforts to assume more responsibility in the region, European powers are treading the same path as the US, a path that will inevitably drag European nations into the existing and new military conflicts.
Mark Steyn, political columnist and cultural critic, has written a remarkable book, America Alone: The End of the World as We Know It. Arriving at a time of demographic, political, and cultural weakness, Muslims are profoundly changing Europe. Much of the Western world, Mr. Steyn flat-out predicts, "will not survive the 21st century, and much of it will effectively disappear within our lifetimes, including many if not most European countries."
Reports from the Kremlin today are stating that President Putin has ordered the Military districts of Moscow, North Caucausian, Privolzhsk-Ural and Leningrad into Full Alert status over the growing crisis due to South Ossetias vote for independence from the Western backed, and dictatorial regime of Georgia. Not being told to the Western people, however, is that the Russian support, and reactions, to the vote of independence of the South Ossetians is in direct opposition to the United States planned aerial bombardment of the suspected Iranian nuclear facilities planed for the last week of November, and which President Putin has assured the United States Military Leaders would result in the immediate breaking of diplomatic relations. China s President Hu has also issued a stern warning to the Americans that should they attack Iran their reactions would likewise be swift and unrelenting.
Leading German and Austrian intellectuals called their countries to review the special relationship established with Israel following the Holocaust. A group of scientists and intellectuals issued a proposal titled Manifesto of the 25. They voiced their opposition to the special relationship between Germany and Israel, defined as unconditional support for its existence and welfare due to the Holocaust, even if Israel violated international law and human rights.
That 3-way political alliance - connecting Israel, its evangelical Christian supporters in the United States and Bush - has long attracted intense interest from both ends of the political spectrum.
Iran's Ambassador to Germany and the head of the Federation of German Industries stressed the promotion of bilateral economic cooperation during their talks in Berlin on Monday. Both sides discussed boosting economic cooperation, especially in the private sector.
Iran has signed a $450 million deal with German electronic giant Siemens to build 150 trains.
[WAR: As I've stated before, when the US attacks Iran they'll be indirectly attacking Germany - which will eventually lead to a "pre-emptive" German EMP attack on the US, above Oklahoma City. This will be their 2nd strike against the US - the 1st being the attack in Oklahoma City. And if all the normal/legal means fail to get the truth out about OKC fail, I may be forced to radical action - "T for Truth" will become the sequel to "V for Vendetta".]
The United States or other countries will one day be forced to consider pre-emptive action if Iran and North Korea continue to seek nuclear weapons, a senior U.S. government official said.
Unchastened by the catastrophe of the Iraq war or the setback delivered to the White House and Republicans in the midterm elections in part as a result of it, Iran hawks have organized new efforts to promote U.S. support for regime change in Tehran.
Bibi: blah, blah, blah...
Drawing a direct analogy between Iran and Nazi Germany, Likud leader Benjamin Netanyahu asserted Monday that the Iranian nuclear program posed a threat not only to Israel, but to the entire western world.
An Iranian diplomat here on Wednesday said that a report released Tuesday by the chief of the United Nations nuclear watchdog on Iran's nuclear activities confirms Tehran has not violated the NPT or other international law or regulation on nuclear non-proliferation.
As Washington waits with bated bipartisan breath to unwrap the shiny Christmas present known as "the recommendations of the Iraq Study Group," it becomes more and more obvious that the newly empowered Democrats are walking into a trap.
Robert Gates has little to do with Iraq and lots to do with Iran. In these early post-election days, the Iran rhetoric at the White House has, in fact, remained at the boiling point. Like James A. Baker, Gates believes in negotiating with Iran. Throw in a new Democratic Congress that is less likely to grant the necessary funds for such a war, and you have the potential for a genuine ebbing of tensions in the one area where the rash acts for which the Bush administration is by now well known could literally wreck the global economy in a matter of days.
[WAR: If it looks like there is really "a genuine ebbing of tensions", then Plan B will be unleashed: a "terrorist" attack to be blamed on Iran (or Syria, the war-thru-the-backdoor option). If that's not do-able, then Plan C will surely be in play: Israel launching an attack on Iran.]
Simple facts most soldiers do not understand: The government (state) is not our country; when you fight and die in undeclared wars, you do so for the State and not for our country or our freedoms; when you forsake the Constitution you swore to uphold and defend to follow unconstitutional orders, even from your commander-in-chief, you cross the line from defender of your country to the very real possibility of becoming a war criminal. Soldiers serving and dying in the States illegal, immoral wars do not serve their fellow countrymen, fight for our liberties or bear true faith and allegiance to our Constitution they serve the collective that is busy stealing our liberties and destroying our Constitution.
A coalition of human rights groups has filed a criminal lawsuit against Donald Rumsfeld in Germany, accusing him of war crimes. A first attempt to prosecute him in 2004 failed, but the activists feel they have a better chance this time - and they have a powerful witness on their side.
[WAR: I think we should make a deal: We'll trade Rumsfeld for former German Foreign Minister Klaus Kinkel, so that he can be tried for his involvement in the OKC bombing.]
When Polish student Michael Gromek, 19, went to America on a student exchange, he found himself trapped in a host family of Christian fundamentalists. What followed was a 6-month hell of dawn church visits and sex education talks as his new family tried to banish the devil from his soul. Here's his story.
Signs of cooling emerged in the global economy yesterday, as the European Commission reported slower growth in the euro zone and the US government disclosed a dramatic drop in inflation for the month of October.
Former World Bank Vice President, Chief Economist and Nobel Prize winner Joseph Stiglitz has predicted a global economic crash within 24 months. "It's gonna be difficult....this has been perhaps the worst six years of mismanagement of the macro economy....I think we can avoid an implosion if we manage this carefully but it's going to be very risky," said Stiglitz, agreeing that if the same course continued to be followed a global depression would occur within 12-24 months.
