In what appears to be a calculated leak by the German government to demonstrate its opposition to increased deficit spending, Der Spiegel magazine published excerpts this weekend of a draft final communiqué proposed by Britain for the G-20 summit of leading economies to be held in London April 2.
Der Spiegel confirmed that the draft document came from the German government, with other press accounts identifying the conservative Christian Social Union, the ruling party in Bavaria and a coalition partner of Chancellor Merkel, as the source.

Tonight's sky...
Many early myths speak of 7 visible stars in the Pleiades. They are famously called the Seven Sisters, for example.
There's evidence in astronomical history that the star really did vanish. That is, some early astronomers noted its disappearance.
The disappearance might have been due to stellar debris moving in front of the star, obscuring it. Or there might have been another reason.
Can you imagine being a priest or priestess looking at the Pleiades and noticing that a star disappeared?
[WAR: "In his right hand he held 7 stars ... 'The 7 stars are the angels of the 7 churches' ... 'To the angel of the church in Sardis write: These are the words of him who holds the 7 spirits of God and the 7 stars. I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead." (Rev 1:16,20 / 3:1)
"He is the maker of the Pleiades ... the beautiful Pleiades" (Job 9:9 / 38:31)]
